In honor of Mother’s Day yesterday, I wanted to share one of my latest sessions. It was my absolute pleasure to photograph Kara Marie’s glamour inspired family portraits. You see, Kara is a fellow photographer and to be asked to capture another photographers portraits is quite an honor. I cannot express how much I enjoyed photographing this lovely family! There is something about photographing a Mom with her children that is so special. The experience provides me a front row seat to see the endless love and special bond between my clients. Kara and her boys were no different. The love that she has for her two sons and the way they look at their Mom … with a mixture of love and awe, are truly beautiful things to witness!

I highly recommend every Mom having images like these with their children. Time goes by so fast, so why not capture beautiful memories like these when you can? If anything consider the images a gift for your children in the future. I would be ecstatic is I had images similar to these with my Mom and sister. Margo & Skylar | Austin Portrait Photographer

There are SO many things I love about being a portrait photographer. Not only getting to know my awesome clients, but being able to gift them with images that they will cherish for years to come. I especially love photographing Mothers and Daughters. There is something so special about that bond. My Mom raised my sister and I on her own and to say the three of us are close would be an understatement. I think the relationship with my Mom and sister definitely attributes to my passion as a women’s portrait photographer. Watching my Mom over the years, seeing everything she did for us and her intense love for her children, made me so thankful that she was my Mom. I’ve also watched my sister be an amazing mother and my best friend Margo (shown below) be a fantastic mother. Women like these, who are not only fabulous moms, but great friends and just strong women in general, make me LOVE what I do. I want to honor these women! I want to spoil them and give them an experience that treats them like the Queens they are! Margo’s session made my heart so HAPPY. She has been my best friend and partner in crime for 22years. Photographing Margo with her daughter Skylar was such a blast. These two share a bond rooted in giggles and strength and are definitely two Queens in my book!!!

I really love being a Austin senior portrait photographer. Working with clients that are about to embark on a huge life change is very exciting!!! Photographing Robert’s Senior Portraits was so much fun!!! Even though I primarily photograph the ladies, it’s nice to mix it up once in a while I have had the absolute pleasure of watching Robert grow up over the years. He is such an INCREDIBLE young man. Robert is intelligent, kind, athletic and enthusiastic to see what the world has to offer. I wish him nothing but the best as he starts this new chapter in his life!

Glamour for All Ages

Who says glamour is just for the grownups?!! This past weekend I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of photographing my oh-so-adorable niece Sophia. Granted she’s only two, but she was wearing a brand new dress she got for Easter and her hair was rocking … so OF COURSE a girl has to show that off no matter her age! Sophia and her infectious smile couldn’t be any cuter. As females we should embrace ourselves, love ourselves and take every moment that we can, to feel fabulous. Most importantly, we should teach our daughters those messages at a young age and encourage that self love for years to come! I had the absolute pleasure photographing two of the sweetest sisters recently. Keira, a precious newborn, and her two-year-old sister Kaiya, made me heart smile. It’s impossible to be upset or down in any way when you are around such pure joy and love. It’s definitely an honor to be asked to capture the first portraits of someones children. Laid Back Luxury at Stonehouse Villa | Austin Wedding Photographer

I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of working with some of the BEST vendors in Austin, TX for this recent shoot. We based the shoot around the fabulous venue, Stonehouse Villa and the idea of Laid Back Luxury. This venue is the perfect place for memorable weddings! Stonehouse Villa has just expanded their tented deck to 2700 feet and can now seat 300 guests comfortably. With the gorgeous decor and lovely views, anything you add to your wedding day will just enhance the beauty that is already there. The oh-so-talented planners from Modern Whimsy highlighted the idea of luxury with hints of emerald and gold. These two colors are great for spring or summer weddings! One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer in Austin, TX is getting the chance to work with amazing people and vendors for whom I am so grateful for!

South Congress Engagement Session | Austin Wedding Photographer

Kirah and Brian couldn’t be cuter together if they tried. Photographing their engagement session on South Congress in Austin, TX was so much fun. We shot by the oh so cool, Hotel San Jose and one of the many awesome food trailer parks that adorn Austin, TX. During the session their love for each other was obvious and their playful nature was the cherry on top. I met Kirah this year and she is quite an awesome lady! She is the owner of A Pretty Shoppe, where she sells handmade lovely jewelry and picture frames. I highly recommend you stopping by her website the next time you’re getting a gift for someone or when you want to make yourself smile! Brian compliments Kirah so wonderfully. The way he looks at her as though she is the only person in the world, makes me LOVE what I do! I LOVE capturing the love and friendships of couples. Kirah and Brian are going to be married this summer and if their marriage is even a fraction of what I witnessed during the session, it’s going to be a life filled with love and laughter!

Allan House Bridal | Austin, TX Wedding Photographer

I am SO excited to share a recent styled bridal shoot I did with some other local FABULOUS vendors! Being a wedding photographer in Austin, TX, I have seen several of the wonderful venues this city has to offer. I have to say, out of all of the fabulous places, the The Allan House has it’s own unique charm! The historic house, located right downtown is quite romantic. The Allan House was the perfect location to photograph this bridal portrait session featuring two gorgeous dresses from Alexia Gavela Bridal! Alexia Gavela Bridal is a MUST for brides visit. They offer stunning dresses and give excellent customer service! Also, Kendall with Mayhem Beauty did beautiful hair and makeup for our lovely bride. She is excellent and will make you feel like the prettiest bride on your wedding day!

Being the Glam Photographer that I am, I couldn’t resist taking a few bridal glamour images (seen below). You can be romantic, beautiful and sassy all at the same time!

Ah yes … it’s that day again. The day filled with cards, candy, flowers, new love and old love. Hues of pinks and reds are everywhere you go. Now, I know that some people (I used to be one of them) despise Valentine’s Day. They feel that it is just a Hallmark Holiday with no real meaning behind it and often just reminds those that are single that they are in fact single. Well, as a former anti-Valentine’s Day supporter, I have to say that it doesn’t have to be that way. While it’s true that Hallmark and other businesses get giddy with sales around this pink and red day, it’s also a day to just be thankful for all of the love in your life, not just the romantic love. Valentine’s Day should be a day that you’re just reminded to look around and appreciate those you love and those that love you. Appreciate that best friend of yours who is always there for you in the good times and bad. Appreciate your Mom or Dad for everything they have done for you. Appreciate your pets that give you nothing but love (Mr. Tempelton pictured above is my lil love bug)! LOVE is such an amazing and beautiful thing! So on this Valentine’s Day, I suggest that you make a list of at least three of the loves in your life and take a moment to smile, be thankful and appreciate them.
